With a wealth of 26 years’ experience working for organizations such as L&T, Citibank, First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) and Sharjah Islamic bank (SIB) across India, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, Saleem’s true passion lies in driving innovative ideas, develop product roadmaps and in building world class teams. He has continually demonstrated his expertise in conceptualizing, developing, and delivering award winning best in class solutions. His expertise and drive have provided lasting value to the organizations he worked with and benefiting customers such as Saudi Aramco, Sharjah Government, Mubadala, SABIC, Saudi Chevron etc.
The Middle East especially UAE and KSA are attracting pioneers in the field of aviation, especially green aviation. In his current role as the President of Middle East and Africa for Luftcar, Saleem is building and spearheading its expansion and go-to-market strategy, with the vision to build ecosystems in partnership with Government bodies and the private sector to revolutionize transportation (in ways not thought possible) while contributing to a better and cleaner world.
Saleem is an accomplished public speaker and is passionate about helping and mentoring youth and young entrepreneurs and fintechs and wishes to collaborate and contribute more to academia. He has also been Chairman of Industry bodies such as the UAE banking federation’s Digital committee and has authored seminal publications for the Arab Monetary Fund. He is also on the Board of a couple of leading edge software companies lending his strategic expertise.
On the Personal front, Saleem enjoys reading latest tech developments in Science, Fintech and Digital lifestyle, playing badminton and spending time with his wife and three children (two sons and one princess !).
